Ways these Broncos together with their malleable QB could end the Kansas City Chiefs' rule.

Week six of the 2025 NFL season
Real-time updates features live text for Sunday's games via multiple platforms, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, audio coverage is available through designated networks covering a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).
It's week six of the football calendar , after last week's talk regarding two top teams as possible championship contenders, each lost their perfect starts.
Striking in those games was the number of infractions both conceded. The Eagles did so in key moments meaning they essentially beat themselves having led by two touchdowns going into the fourth period against Denver, set to play in London this Sunday.
However it was good to observe how Denver quarterback the rookie was able to have that deficit and then direct three successful possessions in three attempts during the final period, to win the game 21-17.
The Broncos boast the defensive player of the year with CB their star corner. They are number one in goal-line defense, while Philadelphia are number one in scoring near the end zone, and Denver prevailed in that contest.
They executed effective strategies regarding disguised blitzes. They weren't necessarily rushing extra pass rushers but they could plug two LBs in the 'A' gap then drop them out and dispatch a nickel from the outside.
At the start of the season, we said during a show that Denver might emerge as this season's dark horses. They finished last season strongly then did a good job of building upon that.
Could Denver be this season's dark horses?
Recently acquired tight end Evan Engram has excelled significantly and new running back their rusher is a player they believe in. He's currently fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (402) and tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).
I love that head coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUN IT!" at the top of his playcall sheet.
That shows how Denver are a squad that wants to run first, because you can achieve much based on that approach. It slows down the pass rush and keeps you in favourable situations.
This has helped QB Bo Nix, who entered the NFL as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, passing for 29 touchdown passes – second only to a star QB for the rookie record (31 in 2020).
Other elite QBs possess powerful arms to pass all over, however they don't move in the same way that Nix has. He boasts incredible passing ability, a unique trait, and he's so athletic.
His strengths include his mobility, the capacity to throw while moving, as well as finding varied release points to deliver the pass when he rolls outside protection, on rollouts. He is able to throw that layered pass over the middle or past defenders.
As a rookie QB, at 25, he displays great poise under pressure and is not really fazed by extra rushers. He aims to avoid a sack as much as possible and can throw in tight spots. He possesses a high football IQ and remains quick to decide.
When you constantly rush it eats up the clock and makes the opponent to stay on the field for longer, and when you've got a mobile QB the defense has to defend the area vertically side to side. This proves exhausting.
Nix has pushed back with the coach during games at times and I think the coach likes that attitude, that he's a fierce rival. In my view it's fun for the coach to have a young quarterback who's similar to moldable clay. He can really build something up how he wants to build it. I think it's a unique opportunity for the coach.
Payton owns a Super Bowl and has surpassed a legend for career NFL wins (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed it all. In my opinion the success Denver are experiencing offensively is largely down to his leadership, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with the QB helps shape him into who he is.
You wouldn't want a more qualified person guiding you, to help you through some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.
I believe in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. But are they good enough to go against a top squad at full strength? Since that was not championship-level play by the Eagles last Sunday.
Currently, I don't think the Broncos are incredible. They're working above average, which is a good place to hold the AFC West. All they need to do to continue this path.
They excel at leaning into their strength, which is running the ball, and that's precisely what they should do versus the New York Jets in London. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.
The Jets have surrendered 140 rushing yards each contest (among the worst), five rushing touchdowns so far (in the bottom ten), and they're the sole squad without a win a game.
Since the league began tracking turnovers decades ago, the Jets are also the inaugural squad to go without any turnovers through five games, which is kind of shocking when you think that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.
The Chiefs' QB says Kansas City are off to a poor start after a recent loss to Jacksonville.
After the upcoming matchup, the Broncos face a manageable slate until their break (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans plus the Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.
In the AFC West, Kansas City are 2-3 while Denver are even with the Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge at leading the West.
It depends upon which form of the Chiefs they face since the Broncos {beat|def
