The visionary game developer, who helped create the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in the state of California aged 55.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The celebrated video game developer died after his car crashed and burst into flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, according to.
