One deputy chief CPS official commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”

These allegations come after what police described as a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.

The defendant is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.
